Iron Man, Thor and Captain America unite against Thanos in new Avengers: Endgame trailer-inspired fan art. In light of the release of the film’s tickets come a special look for the heroes’ upcoming battle with the Mad Titan. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo with the story written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the narrative picks up after the tragic events of Avengers: Infinity War where the villain succeeded in collecting all six Infinity Stones and decimating half of life in the universe. Focus now shifts from Thanos to the good guys, particularly the six core Avengers as they go on potentially their final mission together.

Marketing for Endgame has been pretty good regarding not revealing any important plot points that may tip fans off with what’s going down in the Phase 3 capper. The most recent one-minute clip, however, offered fans almost all new footage - that includes a few key moments in the movie like Tony Stark’s return to Earth, the heroes going off to space with Captain Marvel, and fans’ first clear look at Thanos for the film. But arguably one of the most talked about moments from the promo video is the tease of MCU’s main three heroes squaring up against Titan in a mysterious location. This is the main inspiration for a brand new fan art.

Digital artist ultraraw26 from Instagram unveiled his latest creation featuring what might be Tony, Thor and Cap’s last stand against Thanos. In the Marvel Studios-released clip, fans only saw the bottom half  of the heroes body as they walk towards the Mad Titan who is seeming waiting for them. In the illustrator’s image meanwhile, the public can see the three in their Endgame-appropriate costumes as they gear up for what could be a brutal fight with the villain. Check it out below:

Not much is known regarding the plot specifics of Endgame, and that’s by design with the movie supposedly having more spoilers than Infinity War. But one specific narrative point that loyal MCU fans is looking forward the most to is the re-assembly of the franchise’s founding heroes. The latest trailer already revealed Tony and Cap’s reconciliation after their falling out in Captain America: Civil War - although with the Russos admitting to footage manipulation, the particular sequence may be a misdirect, and the two’s actual reconciliation takes place elsewhere in the film. Nevertheless, it was a great marketing shot to include in the trailer. Even this particular shot of the MCU’s premier heroes walking up to Thanos was framed in a way that it looks like it’s going to be the movie’s final action set piece, but it can be very well at the start of the film. After all, Kevin Feige said that they may only use footage from the first 20 minutes of the film for promotions.

Much has been discussed about the one instance out of the 14 million possibilities that this Thanos debacle where the heroes come out on top. And at this point, it’s still unclear what that route might be like, but there’s one thing in Infinity War that made it easier for Thanos to win, that’s the Avengers not having a united front. Now that the team’s back together with help from the likes of Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Rocket and Nebula, it’s safe to say that they have a better chance of taking down Thanos and restoring peace and order in the universe whatever it takes in Avengers: Endgame.
