This Elden Ring guide will cover everything you need to do for Brother Corhyn and the Noble Goldmask’s questlines. Note: This guide has significant endgame spoilers.
How to Complete Brother Corhyn and Noble Goldmask’s Questline
Before you start preparing for this quest, we recommend leveling 15 Intelligence or reserving two Larval Tears to respec. You’ll need to cast an Incantation that requires 37 Intelligence later on the quest. Unless you’ve already spec’d into Sorceries, you’ll need to equip every stat-boosting item or respecc your stats to accommodate.
Step 1: Speak to Brother Corhyn in Roundtable Hold
The first time you reach the Roundtable Hold, you’ll see Brother Corhyn standing near the wall across from the fireplace. He’ll explain his relationship to the Golden Order, ask after your ability to see the Guidance of Grace, and offer to teach some rudimentary incantations.
Step 2: Defeat Two Shardbearers; Speak to Brother Corhyn in Roundtable Hold
Once you’ve defeated at least two Shardbearers, return to the Roundtable Hold and speak to Corhyn again. He’ll say he’s leaving in search of the Noble Goldmask but not say where he’s headed.
Step 3: Meet Brother Corhyn in Altus Plateau
Up the road, north and east from the Altus Plateau map fragment, is a wandering patrol of nobles and Leyndell soldiers. Continue east past them, and you’ll encounter Brother Corhyn again, despondent. He’ll say he hasn’t been able to find Goldmask despite all his efforts.
Step 4: Speak to Noble Goldmask on the Broken Bridge South of Windmill Village
Head north to the Windmill Village or make your way around the Minor Erdtree forest to reach the other end of the broken bridge that would span the wood were it whole.
You’ll see the Noble Goldmask standing at the broken end of the northern half of the bridge. Speak to him, though you’ll hear nothing in return.
Step 5: Return to Brother Corhyn and Tell Him Where to Find Goldmask
Brother Corhyn will still be in the same place. Return and speak with him. There will be a new option in his menu to say where you found Goldmask. Corhyn will be somewhat speechless, but once you reload the area, he’ll have moved to where Goldmask is.
Step 6: Speak to Corhyn Near Goldmask
A giddy Corhyn will be near where you found Goldmask on the northern bridge. He’ll have a couple of new incantations to teach you but is otherwise embroiled in his newfound purpose.
Step 7: Defeat the Spirit of Godfrey, First Elden Lord; Collect the Golden Order Principia
Progress through Leyndell until you defeat a golden spirit of Godfrey, First Elden Lord. Spend the runes you acquire at the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace however you like, then head out the eastern doorway. Climb the branch leading up, and go through the doorway leading out of the upper platform. Make an immediate left and jump down onto the rooftop. You’ll find one of the windows to the Sanctuary broken.
Go through the opening, then follow the branch to the chair hanging near it. The treasure there is the Golden Order Principia, which allows an NPC to teach you the Law of Regression incantation.
You’ll need the 37 Intelligence to cast it, and it’s required to progress the quest. Head either to Brother Corhyn or Miriel at the Church of Vows and give the Principia, then learn Law of Regression for 10,000 Runes. You can also pick up Radagon’s Rays of Light as well, which got a buff in the 1.04 update.
Step 8: Find Corhyn and Goldmask Near the Coliseum in Leyndell
Either head down the branches from the Erdtree Sanctuary or go beneath them from the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace until you start going up the path toward the giant coliseum.
Take the path past the wandering Duelist enemies and then head south along the cliff face. Goldmask and Corhyn will be there, looking upon the Erdtree from the edge of the cliff. Speak to both.
Step 9: Cast Law of Regression on the Statue of Radagon
Equip Law of Regression and a Sacred Seal and either respec or otherwise increase your Intelligence to 37. The following items provide the greatest return:
Twinsage Glintstone Crown (+6 INT). Marika’s Soreseal (+5 to all Mental stats). Stargazer’s Heirloom (+5 INT). Godrick’s Great Rune (+5 to all stats). The Grafted Blade Greatsword (+5 to all stats provided you can wield it and cast the Ash of War). Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear (+10 Intelligence for three minutes, removed on first cast of Law of Regression).
Now equipped, head back to the Erdtree Sanctuary and go out the western doorway, down the stairs, and down the elevator.
Take an immediate right to see a statue of Lord Radagon with at least one message on the ground. Stand on the message that reads: “Regression alone reveals secrets” and cast Law of Regression.
The statue of Radagon will transform into one of Queen Marika the Eternal. Walk forward a few steps and read the next message: “Radagon is Marika.”
Step 10: Return to Corhyn and Goldmask; Tell Them What You Learned
Head back to Goldmask and speak to him, choosing to say, “Radagon is Marika.” Speak next to Corhyn, who will be excited by his master’s newfound movement.
Step 11: Meet Corhyn and Goldmask in the Mountaintops of the Giants
Progress the story until you reach the Mountaintops of the Giants. Travel around to the Freezing Lake Site of Grace, then go southwest up into the graveyards.
You’ll pass a bridge close to the Grace and near the Minor Erdtree, but keep going southwest. You’ve headed in the right direction if enormous phantom skeletons begin to appear. You’ll eventually reach a second bridge. Cross it and continue past the ruins to your left until you reach a third bridge. The minor Erdtree will be to your north, the Erdtree itself to your south.
Corhyn and Goldmask will be waiting on the bridge. Speak to both.
Step 12: Progress Until You Reach Leyndell, Ashen Capital; Meet Corhyn and Goldmask
After defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade, you’ll be transported to Leyndell, Ashen Capital. You’ll find Corhyn to the west of the Capital of Ash Site of Grace near the bottom of the huge dragon spear.
Speak to him and reload the area to loot his armor and Bell Bearing from his corpse.
From Corhyn, continue slightly southeast toward the hill where they were when Leyndell was not covered in ash. You’ll pass through an opening with a platform on your right and stairs on your left.
Cross the fallen log and turn left. You’ll find Goldmask’s body looking upon the burning Erdtree.
The Mending Rune of Perfect Order floats near his corpse. Grab it, reload the area, then grab Goldmask’s armor from his body.
Step 13: Beat the Final Boss
Once you return to the inside of the Erdtree, select “Use Mending Rune of Perfect Order” on the Fractured Marika. You’ll be rewarded with the Age of Order hidden ending.
