In a new trailer that showcases the mode, players will find that careers in UFC 3 will be more expansive than those found in previous years. To take things to the next level EA is using what it calls “Real Player Motion that makes every move, strike, and combination more realistic, responsive, and rewarding.” In what the developer hopes will be the most mesmeric entry in the franchise to date, RPM will purportedly work in conjunction with player customization modes and new in- and out-of-ring features to achieve a new level of detail.
In previous series installments, career progression was dictated by the events that took place inside the UFC ring. However, UFC 3 is poised to add a wrinkle to that equation by expanding the sphere of influence to include various tasks during and between bouts. Players will not only rely on performance to climb the ranks and secure more fans and contracts, but they will also “make promotional choices” between rounds in the Octagon that will influence progression.
UFC 3 is set to release February 2 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Players who preorder the Champion Edition will get access to UFC 3 three days early.
